WTOP, Washington’s local news leader, is committed to reporting relevant news for our region, through a growing number of distribution platforms. Whether it’s severe weather information, the latest on international developments, or everyday coverage of sports and money news, we are the go-to source for Washingtonians. With some of the highest commuting times in the country, our “traffic every 10 minutes on the 8’s” is an invaluable resource to our audience.
We do all of this with a commitment to our community. For example, we make it possible for any citizen to ask questions of elected officials and community leaders through our WTOP award-winning programs such as “Ask the Governor.” We are proud to support the region’s youth through our annual “Junior Reporter”, “Click for Kids” and “Send a Kid to Camp” programs. We also sponsor many community events each year – from the Marine Corps Marathon, to the Race for the Cure, to providing free heart and health checks.
Our goal is to be the 1st choice for news and information about our region, measured by user engagement and consumption, all while growing and supporting our people and giving back to the community.
